Teaching Philosophy

As someone who has studied with many different teachers throughout my 12-year career, it is my goal to form a supportive and lasting connection with my students. I believe that every student is unique, possessing distinct strengths, needs and learning styles. Education should be accessible, fostering critical thinking and enthusiasm towards learning. I believe in creating an inclusive classroom environment where students aren’t afraid to take risks, express their ideas and make mistakes. After all, I strive for progress and fun – not perfection.

My Four Pillars

  1. Differentiated instruction
  2. Immersion
  3. Storytelling
  4. Technique

With these four pillars combined, I will motivate my students in a way that inspires growth at their own pace. It is my aim to help uncover future students’ musical passions and ambitions, as it is truly inspiring to see their eyes light up whenever they perform something they love or are guided towards a healthier way of producing sound.
